Note: The exam will be of total 100 marks.

physical standard test
Candidates whose applications are found correct in all respects will have to undergo Physical Standard Test (PST). It is a test of the physical parameters of the candidates like height, chest and weight.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Candidates who qualify PST will have to go through PET. PET includes the following:

Exam Syllabus: The Exam Syllabus is as follows:
general English : Passage, Preposition, Correction of Sentences, Active Passive Voice, Direct Indirect Sentence, Verb/Tense/Non Finite, Punctuation, Substituting Phraseological Verbs for Expression, Synonyms and Antonyms, Use of Adjectives, Compound Prepositions, Determiners, Pronouns Use.
General Awareness and General Knowledge:- History, Geography and Socioeconomic Development of West Bengal and India. Knowledge of contemporary events of national and international importance and such things of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects as can be expected of an educated person who has not made a special study of any scientific subject. The paper will also include questions on Modern History of India, Indian Culture, Indian Polity, Indian Economy, Geography of India.
Mental Ability / Reasoning: The questions will be from the topics- Similarities, Similarities, Differences, Space Visualization, Problem Solving, Analysis and Judgment, Decision Making, Visual Memory, Discrimination, Observation, Relationships, Concepts, Arithmetic Reasoning, Verbal and Figure Classification, Arithmetic Number Series, Abilities Abstract Ideas and to deal with symbols and their relations, arithmetical computations and other analytical operations.
Elementary Mathematics :- The Test of Arithmetic and Numerical Ability will include Simplification, Decimal, Fraction, LCM, HCF, Ratio and Ratio, Percentage, Average, Profit and Loss, Discount, Simple and Compound Interest, Mensuration, Time and Work, Number System with Questions on Time . and distances, tables and graphs, etc.
general Science : The questions in General Science will involve a test of knowledge of everyday observational matters and experience in their scientific aspect, as may be expected of an educated person who has not studied Science as a subject. It will also include the knowledge of subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Biology of class 12th level
History, Geography, Politics, Economy of Assam: Major Wildlife Sanctuaries and National Parks, Major Rivers, Irrigation Schemes, Major Tourism (Forts, Palaces, Ancient Notable and Natural Places, Caves, Mausoleums etc.) Major Celebrities of Assam (Political, Sportsman, Artist, Administration, Writers, Literary, Social worker etc.)
Current Affairs: Current Events History, Sports, Geography, Culture, Economic Scene, Scientific Research and General Polity including Indian Constitution etc.
