Under this examination, engineers have been recruited in various departments. This year TNPSC has decided to recruit around 626 new engineers to fill the vacant posts. These vacancies are further divided according to the trade of engineering.

There will be 3 main stages in the selection process of TNPSC CESE. The first stage will be a written subjective test consisting of questions about the particular engineering. In the second phase, there will be objective test which will be conducted at various centers across the state. The final round of selection after both the exams will be the interview.

TNPSC CESE Exam Pattern 2022
Exam Pattern of Paper: Paper 1 will have subject related questions about the concerned trade of Engineering. The paper will have 200 questions. The maximum marks in the exam will be 300 marks and 3 hours will be given to complete the exam.
Exam Pattern of Paper 2 – Paper 2 will have 100 multiple choice questions. 2 marks will be awarded for each correct answer. 2 hours will be given to complete the paper.
